Creative ExecutionIn collaboration with Converse, Hypebae curated an interactive zine, identifying internet micro-trends, to spotlight the recent release of the brand’s new sneaker silhouette, the Run Star Trainer. The Run Star Trainer collectible zine was given out through an icecream truck activation that took place on the streets of Dimes Square and Washington Square Park on a hot summer afternoon on Sunday, July 21.

In this 56 paged zine, I led Visual Developement alongside Hypebeast’s Art Director, Kevin Chen, to bring this lookbook exeuction to life, setting up a design system that would house all the looks in a simple, manual-like design aesthetic inspired by 90’s fashion handbook manuals.


Through in-house photography, we designed a mini style guide to represent how the Run Star Trainer can be styled through various looks inspired by Gen-Z micro-trends dominating the fashion space online. Inspired by editorial fashion magazines and simple gridded layouts, the creative strategy team came up with 10 different style tribes showcasing The Run Star Trainer’s versatility in a simple, yet visual heavy way.
